Proper Care Physiotherapy brings physiotherapy to patients at home across West Pune, from the older colonies of Kothrud to the societies of Baner, Aundh, Pashan, Bavdhan and Warje. Visits are scheduled in advance because our base is in South Pune. The physiotherapist assesses you in your own flat or house, treats the problem and leaves a plan to follow.
West Pune is the part of the city built along its hills: Kothrud below Vetal Tekdi, Baner and Pashan on the slopes of the Baner–Pashan hill, and Bavdhan, Warje and Aundh spreading towards the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway. People searching for home physiotherapy in West Pune are often calling for a parent in a society flat or for themselves after a long week at a laptop. Proper Care Physiotherapy sends a physiotherapist to the door.
Our clinic base is on Katraj–Kondhwa Road in South Pune, so we are honest about it: West Pune visits are booked in advance and given as a time window. This page explains what to expect in each part of the zone. The area listing below the text has every locality we cover.
West Pune has older, settled colonies and fast-growing tech suburbs, and the two need slightly different visits.
The older side is Kothrud, a primarily residential suburb that lies between Vetal Tekdi on the north and Karve Nagar and the Mutha river on the south. Its streets follow Paud Road and Karve Road, and the colonies around them are full of long-term residents in apartment buildings and bungalows, and older parents often live close to their grown-up children. Redevelopment has put newer towers beside older low-rise blocks, which means one lane can have a lift in one building and a flight of stairs in the next. Sub-areas such as Karve Nagar and Paud Road have pages of their own.
The newer side runs along the hill to the north-west. Baner has become a residential and commercial hub with IT offices, and its neighbour Balewadi has grown along the same corridor, with apartment complexes and offices nearby. Pashan lies across the hill from Baner, and Aundh sits to the north of both.
The patients we are asked to see here fall into a few groups. The first is working adults, many in IT and related jobs, who spend most of the day at a screen and come to us with a stiff neck, a back that tightens by evening or a shoulder that aches when they reach for a shelf. If the pain runs down a leg, read about sciatica treatment, and for the neck, our neck pain physiotherapy guide covers the usual causes. Exercise that fits around a working day usually matters more than a long session once a week.
The second group are older residents, particularly in Kothrud, whose knees and hips have begun to limit stairs and walks. Many walk on the hill trails near Vetal Tekdi, and some lose confidence after a fall or a sore knee. Our knee pain physiotherapy page explains what a plan involves, and the physiotherapist adapts walking practice to the slope and steps you actually use.
A third group are families caring for someone after a stroke, hip fracture or surgery. In a flat on the fifth floor with a lift, the lift ride and the corridor become the walking practice area; in an older building, the stairs do.
West Pune's roads are busy and hilly, and a few corridors set the pattern. Karve Road runs from Deccan to Warje, and Paud Road leads from Kothrud towards the highway. The Mumbai–Bengaluru highway forms the western edge of Kothrud, and Bavdhan and Chandni Chowk sit along it. Work on metro Line 3, which runs from Hinjewadi via Balewadi towards Civil Court, is part of the traffic picture around Baner. Traffic here varies with the time of day, so we do not name a fixed arrival minute; we agree a window when you book and tell you if the physiotherapist is delayed.
Warje sits at the end of Karve Road and borders Kothrud on the north, Katraj on the south, and Narhe and Dhayari beyond. It is the part of West Pune that touches South Pune, though the route in still depends on the roads that day.
Most newer West Pune homes are in gated societies. Visitors are usually registered at the gate, and parking rules vary. When you book, tell us the society name, wing, floor, whether a lift serves your flat, and a contact number for the gate. For older houses in Kothrud, mention the lane and any steps at the entrance.
If your home has a bathroom with a high step, a low bed or a slippery floor, say so. A physiotherapist can often suggest small changes that make getting about safer, such as where to place a chair or how to get up from a low seat, alongside the exercises.
To arrange a visit, use the booking page or call us, and let us know the problem, the area and the times when someone is at home. If you are comparing costs, see the pricing page.
The first visit includes a history, a safety check, a look at how you move around your own home and, if appropriate, the start of treatment. Some symptoms need a doctor first, including sudden weakness, chest pain, or back pain with new bladder or bowel trouble, and the physiotherapist will tell you when to seek medical care.
