Home Physiotherapy in Hadapsar, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits in Hadapsar, Pune, from Gadital and Sasane Nagar to Malwadi and Handewadi, for back and knee pain, stroke and surgery recovery.

Hadapsar is one of the largest suburbs on the eastern side of Pune, with roughly three lakh residents by Wikipedia's count, and it rarely feels like one neighbourhood. An old village core around Gadital, rows of tenements and chawls, a factory belt, and big gated townships all sit along the same stretch of Solapur Road. If you are looking for a physiotherapist in Hadapsar who will come to the house, Proper Care Physiotherapy sends one to the patient's own bed, chair and staircase.

Home visits suit people for whom the journey is the obstacle: a father walking with a stick after a stroke, a mother whose knee will not take the bus-stand steps, or a worker who cannot spare half a day at a clinic. This page explains how visits work across Hadapsar, what we are commonly asked to treat, and which parts of the suburb we cover.

Getting to Hadapsar from our base, and why a window is better than a minute

Our physiotherapists start from the clinic base on Katraj–Kondhwa Road and travel east. The way in usually runs through Kondhwa, Mohammadwadi and Undri, or across to Solapur Road by way of Wanowrie, and the sensible choice changes with the hour. Solapur Road is NH65, and the Gadital flyover is the crossing everything funnels through. That flyover is about twenty years old: in December 2025 the civic body described plans to replace nine expansion joints and 268 bearings, and traffic police closed it overnight on 29–30 August and again in the early hours of 13 September 2026, sending vehicles down the road beneath it.

Bigger changes are coming. In July 2026 it was announced that a 36.5-kilometre elevated corridor will be built along the highway, with a five-kilometre double-decker first phase from Bhairoba Nala to Hadapsar that will also carry the Swargate–Hadapsar Metro. The Magarpatta flyover is expected to be demolished and rebuilt from January 2027. Work on that scale will rearrange approaches for several years, so we agree a time window with you when booking, rather than promising a precise arrival minute, and we tell you if the physiotherapist is running late.

One suburb, several kinds of home

The building you live in matters more to a physiotherapy plan than the pin code does. Hadapsar has at least four housing patterns, and each sets different problems.

  • Gaothan lanes and older houses. Around Gadital and the older villages, houses are closely packed, often two or three floors, with steep internal staircases and doorways that were not built for a walker or wheelchair.
  • Low-rise blocks without lifts. Four- and five-storey buildings with no lift are common in the middle of the suburb. A flat on the third floor can make going out an event, and some patients stop leaving the house altogether after a fracture or stroke.
  • Independent houses and bungalow rows. Towards Satav Nagar and the Handewadi Road side, many families live on ground and first floors with a small yard, which gives more room for walking practice.
  • Large gated townships. Magarpatta and Amanora Park Town, both described as special economic zones on Hadapsar's Wikipedia page, have lifts, paved internal paths and security desks that may log a visitor. Share the flat number and gate name at booking so entry does not hold the visit up.

Shift work, desks and the ride home

Hadapsar's working life explains much of what we see. Hadapsar Industrial Estate covers about 350 acres and houses roughly 150 companies, according to a November 2025 report, and employers across the suburb include Serum Institute of India, Honeywell and Bharat Forge. People who stand at a machine, lift components or work rotating shifts often carry a low backache that grows through the week. On the other side, IT and office staff from Magarpatta and Amanora sit for most of the day and then ride or drive home through the Solapur Road queue.

Shift workers are not always free in the evening, and a night-shift patient may want an afternoon slot. Tell us what hours suit you, and we will look for the closest fit, depending on availability.

What families in Hadapsar ask us to treat

We also see sciatica, neck pain from long screen hours, shoulder stiffness and arthritis. The Hadapsar pages for the five areas above go into the local detail; the condition pages cover general causes and treatment.

The neighbourhoods we visit in and around Hadapsar

Each pocket below has its own page, with notes on the streets and buildings there.

  • Gadital, the old centre around the bus station and the highway frontage.
  • Sasane Nagar, which has its own post office on 411028.
  • Malwadi, on the Manjri side of the suburb.
  • Satav Nagar, along Handewadi Road.
  • Ramtekdi, the hillside neighbourhood with the Rama temple.
  • Vaiduwadi, near Vaiduwadi Chowk.
  • Kale Borate Nagar, behind the Kale Padal Road shops.
  • Handewadi, towards the Undri and Mohammadwadi side.

Next door, we also cover Magarpatta, Mundhwa, Wanowrie, Undri and Fursungi.

Finding your door: a short checklist for the booking call

In a suburb this size, a lane name can repeat in more than one pocket, and a plot number is not always visible from the road. A precise address saves the physiotherapist a lot of phoning. Give us:

  • the nearest chowk or landmark, and whether you are towards the city side or the Saswad side of Solapur Road;
  • the society or building name, wing and floor, and whether there is a working lift;
  • the pin code on your address. India Post lists 411028 for the Hadapsar, Gondhale Nagar and Sasane Nagar post offices and 411013 for the industrial-estate office;
  • a mobile number that someone will answer when the physiotherapist is outside.

Hospitals also serve as reference points. Noble Hospital and Sahyadri Hospital are both listed on the Magarpatta side of Solapur Road, and Life Care Multispeciality Hospital is listed on Kale Padal Road in Sasane Nagar. We name them only as places to give directions from, not as referrals.

What the first visit includes

The first visit starts with a conversation about how the problem began, what you do in a normal day and what you have already tried, and the physiotherapist reads any reports or discharge papers you have. Then comes an examination, tailored to the problem: movement, strength, balance, sensation where nerves are involved, and the way you get on and off the bed or chair. Treatment begins in the same visit. It usually mixes hands-on work, a few exercises, advice on posture or pacing, and, where appropriate, a portable pain-relief device. You are left with a short written or demonstrated plan, and progress is reviewed at each visit, not assumed.

Wear loose clothing, keep a firm bed or a clear patch of floor and a sturdy chair ready, and have your prescriptions and scans nearby. You do not need to buy equipment beforehand. Our pricing page explains charges.

Symptoms that need a doctor before any physiotherapy

Some problems belong in a hospital first. Go to an emergency department, or call an ambulance, for any of these:

  • sudden weakness or drooping on one side, new confusion or trouble speaking, which may be a stroke;
  • chest pain, breathlessness or fainting;
  • back pain with loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness around the groin or inner thighs;
  • a hot, swollen, painful calf after surgery or a long illness, which can be a blood clot;
  • a fall followed by an inability to bear weight, or a limb that looks out of shape.

Once a doctor has ruled out a serious cause, or a surgeon has cleared exercise, physiotherapy can begin.

Booking a physiotherapist in Hadapsar

If you are not sure that home physiotherapy fits, describe the problem when you call and we will say so honestly. When you are ready, book a home visit in Hadapsar. Choose a time window, add the landmark and floor, and keep any reports to hand. Families outside Pune often arrange this for a parent, and we are glad to talk the plan through with a son or daughter over the phone.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Hadapsar: questions families ask

Can a physiotherapist visit me at home anywhere in Hadapsar?
Yes. Proper Care Physiotherapy sends a physiotherapist to your house or flat anywhere in Hadapsar, including the older lanes near Gadital and the townships on the Magarpatta side. Treatment starts at the first visit, and you keep a short plan to follow between sessions.
Does the Gadital flyover work affect visit timing?
Occasionally. The flyover has been shut overnight for bearing replacement, and the elevated corridor along Solapur Road will bring more diversions over the next few years. We agree a window rather than a fixed minute and tell you if the physiotherapist is delayed.
My father lives on the third floor of a block with no lift. Can he still be treated?
Yes. The physiotherapist comes up to him, and the stairs become part of the assessment. Stair practice is added only when it is safe, with someone standing below him, and until then the plan concentrates on strength and balance indoors.
I work shifts at a factory in the industrial estate. Can visits fit around that?
Often, yes. Tell us your shift pattern when you book and we will look for a morning, afternoon or evening slot that works, depending on availability.
Do you come into the gated townships near Magarpatta and Amanora?
Yes. Give us the building, flat number and gate name at booking, since many townships log visitors at the entrance. Please let the security desk know to expect a physiotherapist.
Which neighbourhoods around Hadapsar are covered?
Gadital, Sasane Nagar, Malwadi, Satav Nagar, Ramtekdi, Vaiduwadi, Kale Borate Nagar and Handewadi each have a page on this site, and we also visit Magarpatta, Mundhwa, Wanowrie, Undri and Fursungi. If your address is not listed, ask when you book.
