Home Physiotherapy in Sus Road, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits on Sus Road, Pune, for tenants and families in new apartment towers with back pain, knee pain or recovery after surgery.

Sus Road runs west from Pashan into a valley, and the new buildings along it have changed the neighbourhood within a generation. Sus was a small village until Pune's city limits expanded in the late 1990s. It is now a place of apartment towers, rented flats and young households, with hills on both sides and the bypass close behind. If you are looking for a physiotherapist in Sus Road, Proper Care Physiotherapy comes to your flat.

This page describes how home physiotherapy on Sus Road works, why people here call us, and how to make the first visit go smoothly. The wider area is covered on the Pashan page.

A valley of new buildings

Sus lies in a valley ringed by Baner Hill, Pashan Hill, Sutarwadi Hill and the Lavale Hills, at about 550 metres above sea level. The Pashan–Sus Road connects it to Pashan, and the Katraj–Dehu Road bypass runs just off Sus, giving access towards Pimpri-Chinchwad and the expressway. Hinjewadi is about 13 kilometres away, which explains why so many residents work in IT and commute that way.

Much of the housing is multi-storey and recent, and a good number of the people in it are tenants. That has two effects on physiotherapy. First, many people here are far from the doctor or physiotherapist they knew in their home city, and do not yet have a local one. Second, the flats are often furnished lightly or in a hurry, with a bed, a sofa and a dining table doing the work of an office.

Getting to Sus Road

Our physiotherapists travel from the clinic base on Katraj–Kondhwa Road across the city to Pashan and then west. The last stretch is the Pashan–Sus Road, which carries a lot of traffic at peak hours. The Pune civic body has proposed a grade separator linking this road to the bypass service road, because drivers who cannot reach the correct side without a long detour sometimes go the wrong way, a source of accidents on the climb. Until such work is done, we book Sus Road visits as a time window and warn you of delays.

To save time, tell us the tower and wing, the floor, and the nearest junction, and add a phone number the gate staff can ring. New societies often log every visitor, and an unannounced arrival can wait at the barrier.

What people here usually need

  • Back and neck pain from desk work. Long hours at a laptop on a sofa or bed lead to stiff necks and aching low backs. See back pain physiotherapy in Pashan for how we approach it.
  • Parents who have moved in. An older parent who has come from a village or a small town may find the flat, the lift and the traffic unfamiliar. Walking drops off, and strength with it. See elderly physiotherapy in Pashan.
  • Recovery after surgery. Patients return to rented flats after operations done in other parts of Pune. See post-surgery rehabilitation in Pashan.
  • Ankle, knee and shoulder strains from sport. Younger residents who run or play at weekends often need a clear diagnosis and a gradual return to activity.

Rented flats, small rooms

A tenant often cannot change the floor, add a rail or move a fixed cupboard. That is fine, because most of what helps is portable or free. A firm chair with arms, a rug removed from the walkway, a bath mat with grip, and a clear strip from bed to bathroom are enough to begin. The physiotherapist will tell you what is worth buying and what can wait. If a landlord allows a rail to be fitted, we will tell you where it would help most.

Exercise programmes are written for small spaces. Most need only a bed, a chair and the width of a yoga mat. If the person has had a knee problem, knee pain physiotherapy in Pashan gives more detail on stairs and walking.

Walking and fresh air

The hills around Sus are a draw for walkers, but slopes are not the right place to restart after an illness. We usually suggest the corridor of your floor, the society's internal road, or a flat stretch inside the compound. After a few weeks, if the physiotherapist agrees, you can try gentler slopes. A companion for the first outings is sensible.

Seeing a doctor first

Go to an emergency department for sudden weakness on one side, difficulty speaking, chest pain, severe breathlessness, a deformed limb after a fall, loss of bladder or bowel control or a hot swollen calf. For any unexplained fever or weight loss, see your doctor before starting physiotherapy.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Sus Road: questions families ask

I recently moved into a rented flat on Sus Road and do not know any doctors nearby. Can I still book?
Yes. You do not need a local doctor to book, though your own doctor's advice is useful if you have a medical condition. Bring any reports from your previous city, and the physiotherapist will start from there.
How do I get the physiotherapist past the gate of a new society?
Give the security desk the visitor's name and the time window in advance, share the tower, floor and flat number with us, and keep your phone on so that the guard can call up.
My parents live with us in a small flat. Is there space for exercises?
Most programmes need a chair, a bed and a clear strip of floor. The physiotherapist will choose movements that fit your room, and will tell you which ones to avoid on slippery tiles.
Can sessions be arranged in the evening after work?
Ask for the window that suits you when you book, and we will say whether it can be met. Evening journeys on Pashan–Sus Road can be slow, so a little flexibility helps.
