South Pune is home ground for Proper Care Physiotherapy: our base is on Katraj–Kondhwa Road, and our physiotherapists visit patients in flats, societies and lanes across Katraj, Kondhwa, Bibwewadi, NIBM Road, Undri and Sinhgad Road. Choose your area below to see local visit details and the treatments we bring to your home.
South Pune is where Proper Care Physiotherapy is based, with our clinic on Katraj–Kondhwa Road. It is also the part of the city we reach most easily: from here the physiotherapist heads to a patient's flat, society or lane along roads we use every day. If you are searching for physiotherapy in South Pune, a visit at home is the way we work, not an add-on.
The zone is large and varied, running from Bibwewadi and Katraj up to the hill slopes, then east to Kondhwa and NIBM Road, and out along Sinhgad Road towards Nanded City. This page explains how that variety shapes a home visit. Every locality we cover is listed further down the page.
Much of South Pune sits on a slope. Katraj rises towards the ghat on Pune–Satara Road, Kondhwa Budruk and Yewalewadi have hilly lanes. For a patient with a weak knee or breathing trouble, a gradient outside the door matters as much as the staircase inside it. We ask about both, and graded walking practice often starts in the flat, moves to the society compound and then to a gentle slope.
Housing is mostly apartments and housing societies, with older low-rise lanes in the villages that the city has grown around. In a large gated society, visitors are registered at the gate and the physiotherapist may have to wait for a pass, so give us the society name, wing, floor and a contact number at the gate when you book.
South Pune is changing quickly. Katraj–Kondhwa Road has been under widening, there has been flyover work at Katraj Chowk, and underground metro work along Pune–Satara Road, between Swargate and Katraj, has narrowed lanes and moved bus stops. We take these conditions into account by booking a time window instead of a fixed minute, and we tell you if the route has put us behind.
Because we start from this part of the city, visits within South Pune are usually simpler to arrange than those to the far side of the river. Even so, traffic on Satara Road, NIBM Road and Sinhgad Road can change from one day to the next, so a window is more honest than a promise of an exact time.
A common request comes from an adult son or daughter who works long hours, sometimes in another part of Pune or abroad, and wants a parent seen at home. The parent may live on the third floor of a society, have had a knee replacement or a stroke, or simply have become unsteady. Another group are working adults in their thirties to fifties, who ride or drive to offices in Magarpatta, Hadapsar or the city and bring back neck stiffness, a sore lower back or a shoulder that will not lift.
Close to the base, Katraj and Kondhwa are the areas we reach most often, with sub-areas such as Kondhwa Budruk, Kausar Baug and Bharati Vidyapeeth. Bibwewadi takes in the Market Yard side of Satara Road, and Dhankawadi lies on the same Satara Road stretch between Bibwewadi and Katraj.
To the east, NIBM Road and Undri are made up largely of large gated societies, and Wanowrie adjoins the cantonment side. To the west, Sinhgad Road runs towards Anand Nagar, Hingne Khurd and Dattawadi, and Ambegaon Budruk, Narhe, Dhayari and Nanded City follow the road's growth outwards. Some of the farthest societies are scheduled in advance, in the same way as our visits to other zones.
The physiotherapist asks what happened, what has been tried and which medicines are being taken, then checks how you move at home: getting out of bed, standing from your usual chair, walking to the bathroom and climbing stairs if they matter. Treatment usually starts in the same visit when it is safe, and you are left with a few exercises and a clear idea of what to avoid for now. We do not promise recovery times or a number of sessions, because they depend on the condition and on how regularly the plan is followed.
Some symptoms need a doctor first, such as sudden weakness of the face or limbs, chest pain, new loss of bladder or bowel control with back pain, or a fall after which the person cannot bear weight. If we notice any of these, treatment stops and we advise you to seek medical care.
You can book a home visit online or call us. Charges are on the pricing page. If you are unsure whether your society falls within our range, ask before you book.
