Physiotherapist home visits in Fursungi, Pune, along Saswad Road from Bhekrai Nagar to Uruli Devachi, booked in advance for pain and rehabilitation.
Fursungi is where Saswad Road leaves the built-up edge of Hadapsar and starts to open out. It began as a village, was counted as a census town of more than 66,000 people in 2011, and today holds a mix of village lanes, low-rise flats and new apartment complexes, with warehouses and a bus depot along the road. For anyone looking for a physiotherapist in Fursungi, Proper Care Physiotherapy can send one to the house.
It should be said plainly that Fursungi is one of the farther areas from our South Pune base. That is why home physiotherapy in Fursungi is booked in advance, and why this page spends time on the road, the timing and the practicalities of a long visit, as well as on the treatments we offer.
The Pune–Saswad road begins at Saswad Fata in Hadapsar and runs through Fursungi, Manterwadi, Uruli Devachi and Wadki on its way to Saswad. Everything in Fursungi hangs off it. In January 2026 a report said the Hadapsar to Saswad stretch of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Palkhi Mahamarg, 13.25 km long, was being widened from two lanes to eight and was about 45 per cent complete, with underpasses planned at Fursungi, Uruli Devachi and Wadki and the railway overbridge at Fursungi being expanded to remove crossing delays.
The highway will eventually help. For now, a road under construction means diversions, dust and queues that change from week to week.
The Katraj–Manterwadi Bypass starts in Katraj and passes Undri and Handewadi on its way to Manterwadi, which is the stretch of Saswad Road just beyond Fursungi. Depending on the day, a physiotherapist may use it or go by way of Hadapsar. Either way, the trip is a long one, and the final stretch is the part most affected by roadworks.
So we agree a time window with you, not an exact minute, and we tell you if the physiotherapist is delayed. We have not fixed a standard notice period for this page. When you book, ask for the earliest date for your address, and give us the days that suit you.
Fursungi and Uruli Devachi were brought into the Pune Municipal Corporation in 2017, and in September 2024 the state government formed a separate municipal council for the two. Many residents are still sorting out where services come from. That matters to us because a patient's practical needs, such as water, lifts, the road in front of the building and the route to a hospital, vary from one lane to the next. We rely on what you tell us about your own address.
PMPML runs buses from the Bhekrai Nagar depot on Saswad Road. In 2023, route 167, which already ran between Wagholi and Hadapsar, was extended to the depot, and it travels by Magarpatta, Mundhwa and Kharadi Bypass. Buses are a lifeline, but for a person with a bad knee, a recent operation or a stroke, a long ride and a walk to the stop are hard. Local hospitals and specialists are mostly in Hadapsar or the city, so even a follow-up appointment is a project. Home visits take one of those journeys off the patient.
The Fursungi–Uruli Devachi waste depot has been in local news. In August 2026 residents were protesting against a proposed 500-tonne processing plant there, and the dispute was still running when this page was checked. We do not take sides in it. The practical point is that a news-making site can bring extra vehicles, meetings or diversions on some days, so if your lane is near the depot, tell us, and check the approach with us before the visit.
Saswad Road is a busy highway with heavy vehicles, and while it is being widened, its edges are not a place for a patient who is relearning to walk. Safer options are the home's own floor first, then a verandah, the building's compound or a quiet internal lane, with someone beside the patient. In older houses a flat courtyard may be the most suitable space. The physiotherapist sets a distance and a pace, and asks you to note how the legs feel the next day.
We also see arthritis, shoulder stiffness and neck pain. The condition pages explain causes in general, while the Fursungi pages deal with how it looks in a Saswad Road home.
Close by we also cover Hadapsar, Manjri, Undri and Magarpatta.
Many Fursungi households have one or two earners travelling towards Hadapsar, Magarpatta or the city for work, with the day's care of an older relative left to a spouse, a neighbour or a helper. A physiotherapy visit can fit into that only if it is planned. When you book, tell us who will be home, who makes decisions about the patient's care, and whether anybody needs to join by phone. If the main caregiver is out until evening, we can look for a late slot, subject to availability. After the first visit, the physiotherapist writes down the exercises in plain words, so that a helper who was not present can follow them.
Because visits to Fursungi are spaced by the distance, the plan you are left with has to stand on its own. We note which exercises to repeat, how often, and what a normal reaction feels like, so a family can tell a sore muscle from a sign that needs a call. If something changes, get in touch before the next booked visit instead of waiting.
Lane names repeat, plot numbers are not always visible and new buildings are not always on the map. Give us the house or society name, the nearest landmark on Saswad Road, your floor, and a phone number that will be answered when the physiotherapist arrives. If the road is being dug up outside, tell us which side to approach from.
The physiotherapist asks how the problem began, what a normal day looks like and what you have tried, reads any reports or discharge papers, and examines movement, strength, balance and, where nerves may be involved, sensation. Treatment starts in the same visit when it is safe, and you are left with a plan to follow. Keep a firm bed or a clear patch of floor and a sturdy chair ready. Charges are on the pricing page.
Go to an emergency department, or call an ambulance, for sudden weakness or a drooping face, trouble speaking, chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of bladder or bowel control, a hot swollen calf after surgery, or a fall followed by inability to bear weight. Hospitals are some distance from Fursungi, so set off early and do not wait for a booked visit.
If you are not sure that home physiotherapy fits, describe the problem when you call and we will tell you honestly. When you are ready, request a Fursungi home visit, add your landmark and floor, and mention the days that work for you.
