Home Physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 3, Pune

Home physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 3, Pune, on the Maan side of the IT Park, for tower-society families, parents at home and recovery after surgery.

Hinjewadi Phase 3 is where the IT Park runs out towards Maan, and it feels it. The towers are newer, the ground is more open, and the nearest hospital or clinic can be a long drive. That is exactly the situation in which home physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 3 is useful, and also where we need to be honest about distance: it is among the farthest places we visit from our South Pune base, so visits are booked well ahead.

This page describes what that means in practice, who we typically see in the tower societies here, and how a session works when the patient lives on a high floor and the helper is at the office.

The far end of the park

Phase 3 of Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park lies largely within Maan village, which has changed from farmland to an urban area since the 2000s. Large offices of companies such as Tech Mahindra, TCS and Capgemini are listed in this phase. Around them, residential towers have been built in the open ground, and the area is administered by the PMRDA.

For us, the practical points are simple. The drive from Katraj–Kondhwa Road is long, the final stretch passes through junctions that clog in office hours, and some internal roads are still being built. We therefore ask for notice, and agree a time window instead of an exact time.

High floors and older parents

A typical household in a Phase 3 society has working adults and perhaps a parent living with them. If that parent is in their seventies, the flat can be a very different world from the house they left: a lift instead of a doorstep, a balcony instead of a courtyard, and few neighbours to chat with. Activity falls, legs weaken, and a fall becomes more likely.

The physiotherapist begins by watching real movements: standing from the sofa, crossing the room, stepping over the bathroom threshold and getting in and out of the lift. Exercises are then built around those, with attention to balance and leg strength. Our overview of elderly physiotherapy in Hinjewadi goes through what is included, and the guide on fall prevention therapy explains why balance work matters.

Walking practice inside the society

Roads in this part of Hinjewadi are not designed for a slow walker. Society grounds and podium paths, where they exist, are safer for practising. We ask where the patient will walk, whether the surface is level, who will be beside them, and what time of day is cool and quiet. For the first week after an operation, a corridor and living room may be all that is needed.

Recovering after surgery or a stroke

A family that has moved out to Phase 3 may find that the hospital which operated on them is across the city. The return home after a knee replacement or a spine operation is when the patient most needs help with the first days, and when the ride back to the surgeon's clinic is hardest. A home physiotherapist can monitor the wound-friendly movements, walking aids and stair or lift use, and report concerns to the surgeon's team. The Hinjewadi pages on post-surgery rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation cover both. Book before discharge if you can; ask the hospital for the discharge summary.

Roads, the metro and the rains

Metro Line 3 begins at Maan, with stations named Maan, Maan–MIDC Circle Phase-II and Maan Bus Depot, and a depot is planned at Maan village. Its first section received provisional safety clearance in July 2026, but a September 2026 report said that passenger services were still waiting for an inauguration date.

The authorities have proposed new roads linking Maan with Nande and Thakar Vasti, together with drainage and street lights, because waterlogging recurs in the monsoon. MIDC has also spoken of a link road from Phase 1 to Phase 3. Until then, heavy rain can slow the roads at short notice, and we may need to move a visit by a few hours.

Working-age adults and long commutes

Those who work in Phase 3 may still commute from elsewhere, while residents may drive to offices in other phases or across the city. A long drive twice a day loads the lower back, and hip flexors tighten from sitting. Look at back pain physiotherapy for the general picture. The physiotherapist will look at your car seat, how long you sit without a break, and whether short stretches at traffic stops are practical.

When to get urgent medical help

Sudden weakness or numbness on one side, a drooping face, trouble speaking, chest pain, breathlessness, a hot swollen calf after surgery or a fall with a limb that will not bear weight all need an emergency department. In a far-off society, do not wait for a physiotherapy window. Call for an ambulance.

Booking

Use the booking page. Give the society name, tower and flat, whether there is a lift, the patient's main problem and the times someone is at home. Because this is a distant area, book as early as you can.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 3: questions families ask

Phase 3 seems far from everything. Will a physiotherapist really come?
Yes, but visits here are booked well in advance because it is one of the farthest areas from our South Pune base. Give the society name and the nearest landmark when you book, and we will confirm a time window.
My father lives on a high floor and rarely goes out. What can physiotherapy do?
Quite a lot can be done indoors: strengthening for the legs, balance work, practice getting up from chairs and the bed, and a safe plan for short walks. The physiotherapist also checks the bathroom, the doorway thresholds and how he uses the lift.
Can walking practice take place inside the society?
Often, yes. Internal paths and gardens are quieter than the roads outside. The physiotherapist will advise on surface, time of day and who should walk beside the patient.
Does heavy rain affect visits?
It can. Waterlogging and slow roads in the monsoon may mean we need to move the time window. We will tell you as soon as we know.
