Home Physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 1, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits in Hinjewadi Phase 1, Pune, for PG rooms, rented flats and village homes near Shivaji Chowk, for pain, injury and rehab.

Anyone searching for physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 1 is likely to be one of two kinds of person: someone in their twenties or thirties working in the park and living in a rented room or flat, or an older relative who has come to stay with them. Proper Care Physiotherapy visits both. The physiotherapist comes to wherever you sleep and work at home, so you do not have to sit through the jam at Laxmi Chowk with a sore neck or a painful knee.

Phase 1 is the oldest part of Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, and it sits beside the original village. That mix of corporate campuses, village lanes and dense rental housing shapes the way we plan visits, and this page explains how.

Rented rooms, PGs and flatmates

A news report from June 2025 on the Hinjawadi traffic problem pointed out that the area contains numerous PG accommodations for students and IT professionals. For a physiotherapist, that means a home visit may take place in a room shared with others, in a flat where the furniture belongs to the landlord, or in a hostel-style building with a manager at the gate.

It is workable. What we need is a few square feet of clear floor, a firm surface to lie on, and an hour in which flatmates give some privacy. If the bedroom is too tight to move in, the common room is often a better place. Before booking, check that your PG allows visitors, and tell the manager the physiotherapist's name. Sharing a room also affects advice: the plan has to be small enough to do beside a bunk bed, not a full gym routine.

Neck, wrist and back pain from a desk day

Phase 1 is where some of the park's longest-established offices are, including campuses of companies such as Cognizant, Accenture and HCLTech. People working there often start the day in a cab, sit for hours and end it in a bed with a laptop. The usual complaints are a stiff neck, a sore wrist and shoulders, and a low-back ache that arrives after the second hour of sitting.

A home session lets us look at your actual set-up. Is the screen on a pile of books or flat on a table? Are you working from a dining chair? The physiotherapist adjusts what can be adjusted, teaches short movement breaks, and treats the stiff areas. If the pain is mostly in the neck, our guide to neck pain physiotherapy explains the common causes. For lower back pain, see back pain physiotherapy in Hinjewadi.

Parents visiting from another city

Many families here have a relative staying for a season. An older person arriving from a ground-floor home elsewhere may suddenly face a lift, a twelfth-floor balcony and a long afternoon alone while their children are at work. Knees begin to ache, balance feels less certain, and the flat offers few places to walk.

In that case the physiotherapist watches how they get out of the lift, up from a sofa and in and out of the bathroom, and sets simple strengthening and walking work that fits the flat. See knee pain physiotherapy in Hinjewadi and elderly physiotherapy in Hinjewadi for more on what a session includes.

Village lanes near Shivaji Chowk

Hinjawadi village grew up here long before the park. Its deity, Mhatoba, is also the village deity of neighbouring Wakad, and a traditional procession each spring causes traffic diversions through Shivaji Chowk, Laxmi Chowk and Bhumkar Chowk. Around the chowks, houses are older and lanes are narrow. A physiotherapist may have to leave the vehicle on a main road and walk the last stretch, so when you book, tell us the nearest landmark and any lane that is two-wheeler only.

Many older residents of these lanes have worked on their feet for years, on farms or in small shops, and come to us with knee and hip stiffness. Home treatment means we can see them on their own staircase or doorstep, which is usually where the difficulty is.

Getting here, and why we book ahead

Hinjewadi is one of the farther zones we serve from our base on Katraj–Kondhwa Road, so visits to Phase 1 are planned in advance. The route generally reaches Phase 1 through Wakad and Laxmi Chowk. MIDC has announced a flyover at Laxmi Chowk and a wider road from Shivaji Chowk, and PMRDA has proposed new roads starting near Surya Hospital in Phase 1, but until those are built the junctions stay slow at office hours. We therefore agree a window with you rather than an exact minute.

The Pink Line of Pune Metro will have stations named Hinjawadi Phase-I and Shivaji Maharaj Chowk Hinjawadi. Our visits do not rely on it, but if you travel to a clinic or hospital elsewhere, ask whether a home visit between appointments could reduce the number of trips.

Sprains and gym injuries

Young residents here play weekend football or cricket, run, and lift weights after work. A rolled ankle, a strained hamstring or a sore shoulder is often left alone for a week and then flares. A physiotherapist can assess the injury, protect it, and plan a graded return to activity. Our sports injury physiotherapy guide covers the principles. If the joint cannot take weight, looks deformed or is rapidly swelling after a fall, go to an emergency department first.

Other parts of Hinjewadi

If your address is beyond Phase 1, see Hinjewadi Phase 2 around Wipro Circle, Hinjewadi Phase 3 towards Maan, or Marunji to the north. The overview of home physiotherapy in Hinjewadi explains how all the areas fit together.

Warning signs: see a doctor first

Go to an emergency department rather than waiting for a home visit if you have sudden weakness or numbness in the face, arm or leg, chest pain or breathlessness, new loss of bladder or bowel control, or back pain with fever or unexplained weight loss. The physiotherapist will stop treatment and refer you if any of these appear during a visit.

How to book

Use the booking page or call the number shown here. Please mention your building or PG name, the nearest chowk, the floor and whether visitors need to be registered at the gate, as well as the main problem and the times you are at home.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Hinjewadi Phase 1: questions families ask

I live in a PG room with flatmates. Can I have a physiotherapy session there?
Yes, if the owner or manager allows visitors. The physiotherapist needs a clear patch of floor or a firm bed and a little privacy, so ask roommates to step out for the hour. If the room is too cramped, a living area or common room can be used.
My parents are staying with me for a few months and their knees ache. Is that something you treat?
Yes. Knee pain in older visitors is common when they move from a familiar home to an unfamiliar flat. The physiotherapist checks their walking, how they get up from a chair and how they cope with your lift and stairs, then gives exercises they can do in your home.
Can the session happen after I finish work?
Often it can. Tell us what time you usually get home and we will look for an evening window. The roads near Laxmi Chowk are slow at the end of the working day, so the window is a range, not a minute.
Do you cover the older village lanes as well as the new apartments?
Yes. Give the nearest landmark, such as Shivaji Chowk or Laxmi Chowk, and tell us if a lane is too narrow for anything but a two-wheeler, so the physiotherapist knows where to park.
