Home Physiotherapy in Moshi, Bhosari, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits in Moshi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, for back and knee pain, stroke and surgery recovery, with visits booked in advance and lift-aware.

Moshi is where Pimpri-Chinchwad starts to give way to open land and high-rise towers. The Pune–Nashik Highway runs through it, the Dehu–Alandi Road crosses it, and a good many of the people who live here moved in during the last decade, often into apartment societies with a lift, a gate and a guard. Proper Care Physiotherapy provides home physiotherapy in Moshi for those households and for the older families who were here before them.

This page sits under Bhosari in our coverage. Moshi is among the farthest places we travel to, which is why visits are arranged in advance rather than at short notice.

What is actually in Moshi

Wikipedia lists the International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Moshi High Street, a Regional Transport Office, a safari park and an engineering college among Moshi's facilities, and gives its location as 18.6801 N, 73.8502 E. It is reached by MSRTC and PMPML buses. Property writers describe Moshi as both residential and industrial, on the Pune–Nashik Highway and the Dehu–Alandi Road, with the Indrayani river passing through.

For a visiting physiotherapist, much of that is background. What matters is which gate, which tower and which floor the patient is on. Many apartment complexes in this part of the city are large, and the entrance for visitors may be some distance from the block you live in. Tell us which tower, which wing, and which side of the highway your complex faces.

Gates, guards and the lift ride

In a gated society, a visit begins at the guard room. A physiotherapist who arrives within an agreed window but is kept waiting at the gate for ten minutes is no better off than one stuck on the highway. So please do three things:

  • Add the visitor in advance. Give the gate the agreed window, not just the day.
  • Name the tower, wing and flat. Large complexes have several of each.
  • Say if the lift is shared. A service lift or one that is often out of order changes how a frail patient gets in and out.

Once inside, the lift is part of the plan. If a patient has had a hip or knee operation, the physiotherapist wants to know how wide the lift door is, whether there is a step at the sill, and whether a walker fits. These facts decide how soon a first trip downstairs is realistic.

Long journeys on both sides

Moshi is far from South Pune, but it can also be far from anything else in Pimpri-Chinchwad that the family uses. A day clinic means leaving early, crossing the highway, and sitting in traffic. For a patient two weeks after a stroke or a replacement, that is tiring in itself. Home physiotherapy takes away the journey and keeps the energy for the exercises.

That said, the highway remains the main road for us as well, so the physiotherapist's arrival is a window. We tell you if it moves.

Parents who live with you, or visit

A fair number of Moshi flats house a young working couple and a parent. Sometimes the parent has moved in permanently; sometimes they are staying for a few months from a village or another city. In both cases, a home visit is useful because the parent is in an unfamiliar flat. The physiotherapist checks rugs, bathroom floors, bed height and lighting, as well as the person's strength and balance. A flat that works for two adults at work may not work for an eighty-year-old at home alone.

Our elderly physiotherapy guide explains the general approach, and the Bhosari elderly physiotherapy page describes how it is applied in this part of the city.

What households commonly need

A hospital that has been approved

In November 2023 the PCMC standing committee approved an 850-bed multispecialty hospital for Moshi, reported at the time as the second-largest in Pune district. We have not verified that it has opened, so we do not rely on it. Until a patient is actually being discharged from a particular hospital, the practical step is the same: keep the discharge summary, ask the surgeon what movements to avoid, and book a home visit in advance.

Walking practice in a society

Most apartment complexes here have internal paths and a ground-floor courtyard. Once the physiotherapist considers a patient ready, those paths are a convenient first outdoor space: level, off the road, and close to home. We would rather use them than send an unsteady patient towards the highway.

Urgent signs

Call an ambulance or go to an emergency department for sudden facial droop, weakness of one side, slurred speech, chest pain, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with severe pain. After surgery, a fever, a wound that is opening, or a calf that is hot and swollen needs a doctor promptly.

Next steps

If your address is nearer the Bhosari side of the highway, see Dighi or Chikhali, which neighbour Moshi. To arrange a visit, send your tower, wing, floor and the times someone is home through the booking page.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Moshi: questions families ask

Moshi seems very far from Pune city. Do you really visit?
Yes, but we are straightforward about distance. Moshi is at the far end of the Pimpri-Chinchwad run, so visits are arranged ahead of time and the clinic confirms the notice needed for your address.
My apartment society asks visitors to register at the gate. Does that cause problems?
Not if you plan for it. Add the visitor's name to the gate list for the agreed window, and tell the guard that a physiotherapist is coming. If the gate needs a phone call, keep your phone near.
Can we book for my father, who is visiting us from his village?
Yes. Give the address where he is staying and the times someone is at home. The physiotherapist can only treat him safely if the visit fits his current situation, so bring along any reports or prescriptions he has.
There is a large hospital planned in Moshi. Does that change anything for home physiotherapy?
Not yet. A hospital being approved is different from one being open. If a family member is discharged from any hospital, physiotherapy at home can start once the doctor agrees.
