Home physiotherapy in Maharshi Nagar, Pune: a physiotherapist visits apartments between Satara Road and Market Yard for knee, back and post-surgery care.
Ask three people in Maharshi Nagar where they live and you may hear three answers: Maharshi Nagar, Prem Nagar or Market Yard. The neighbourhood sits between Satara Road and the wholesale market, and its boundaries are drawn more by habit than by signboards. That matters when you are trying to explain your address to a physiotherapist, so this page begins with the practical side of finding you and then covers what home physiotherapy in Maharshi Nagar involves.
Proper Care Physiotherapy is a home-visit service. Our physiotherapists travel from the clinic base on Katraj–Kondhwa Road to flats in and around Maharshi Nagar, which we treat as part of our Swargate home physiotherapy area. The treatment links below go to the Swargate pages for that reason.
Wikipedia describes the Market Yard as lying near Gultekdi, in Maharshi Nagar and close to Swargate, which shows how closely the names overlap. Property listings give Maharshi Nagar the pin code 411037, the same as Market Yard and Bibwewadi, although there is no post office of that name. A school in the area describes its premises as above IDBI Bank, near Pushpa Mangal Karyalaya, Vasant Baug and Prem Nagar, Maharshi Nagar, which gives a feel for how addresses are written here.
When you book, give us a landmark the delivery rider would also use: a bank branch, a school, the Maharshi Nagar police chowki on Irawati Karve Marg, or the chowk where you leave the main road. Add the society name, the wing and the floor.
Most homes here are apartments in cooperative societies, with a few commercial buildings mixed in. Square Yards lists a range of apartment projects in Maharshi Nagar, from compact one-bedroom flats to larger family homes. Households tend to be working parents with children at school, and grandparents who live in the same flat or nearby.
That arrangement shapes the physiotherapy people ask for:
Because the people at home during the day are often the oldest, we teach them first, and show the working adults the same routine when they are back.
In a household where both adults work and children leave early, the quietest hours are mid-morning and early afternoon. Those are the hours when a visit tends to suit an older patient, who is rested and has the flat to themselves. If the patient is the working adult, tell us the earliest and latest hours that suit, and we will look for a slot, depending on availability. We cannot promise an exact minute, so we agree on a window.
The nearest big road is Pune–Satara Road, which is the route from our base. Maharshinagar Road runs behind it, and a traffic advisory in 2024 named it as an alternate route that leads on through Panchmi Chowk to Market Yard Chowk. That tells you something about local travel: when the main road backs up, vehicles spill into these inner roads, and a lane that is quiet at ten may be full at five.
The Swargate–Katraj underground metro extension adds to this. Excavation began in 2026 at the Market Yard station, with barricades on Satara Road, and the same article says more stations are planned at Padmavati, Bibwewadi and Balaji. We allow extra time on the Satara Road stretch and tell you if the physiotherapist is running late.
Inside a society, the corridor, stairwell and compound are the safest practice ground. We start with the flat itself, measure how many steps you manage before you tire, and then extend the route a little each visit. The lane outside is the last stage, and crossing a road with traffic is practised only when you are steady and a family member can walk beside you.
Maharshi Nagar runs into Mukund Nagar on one side and Salisbury Park and Gultekdi on the other. Towards the city, Shankar Sheth Road and Parvati are also covered. South of the market, Market Yard has its own page.
Call an ambulance or go to an emergency department for sudden weakness in the face, arm or leg, trouble speaking, chest pain, or a fall that leaves a limb deformed. Back pain with numbness between the legs or loss of control over the bladder or bowel also needs immediate attention. We stop a session and advise you to see a doctor if we notice any of these.
Request a visit on the booking page with your society, landmark, floor and a few lines about the problem. Our pricing page lists the charges.
