Home Physiotherapy in Manjri Khurd, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits in Manjri Khurd, Pune, near the Solapur highway and the Mula-Mutha, for back and knee pain and recovery after surgery.

Manjri Khurd is a smaller locality than its neighbour, and there is far less published about it than about the big suburbs of east Pune. We would rather say that plainly than fill a page with guesses. What we can say is that people here need physiotherapy for the same reasons as everywhere else, such as a bad back, a failing knee or recovery after an operation, and that getting to a clinic from here is harder than it looks on a map. Proper Care Physiotherapy sends a physiotherapist to your house.

Manjri Khurd belongs to our Manjri service area, and this page sets out what we know and what to tell us when you book.

What we know about the locality

Property sources describe Manjari Khurd as a small, developing residential locality with independent houses and apartment complexes, close to the Pune–Solapur highway and the Mula-Mutha river. Wikipedia places Manjri about 4 km from Hadapsar, near Keshav Nagar and Fursungi, with Manjari Budruk railway station on the Pune–Daund line. Beyond that, we have not found reliable detail on specific lanes, societies or amenities, and we have not named any.

The river and the monsoon

The river is the most distinctive feature of this side of Manjri. The Mula-Mutha is a quiet neighbour for much of the year, but after heavy rain it rises. On 6 July 2026, the river submerged an unpaved link road between Keshav Nagar and Kharadi. Low-lying approaches near the river can become impassable at short notice. If you live near the water, tell us, so that we can plan a route and a time. In a spell of heavy rain a visit may have to be moved, and we would rather tell you early than have the physiotherapist stuck on the way.

For a patient, the same river matters at home. Damp walls and wet floors raise the risk of slipping, so the physiotherapist pays attention to the bathroom, the entrance and any outside steps.

Getting here from our base

The route from the clinic base on Katraj–Kondhwa Road runs east through Kondhwa, Undri and Handewadi to Hadapsar, and then along the Solapur highway to Manjri. A MyPunePulse report dated 17 July 2026 says a long elevated corridor is planned along Solapur Road, with work starting in January 2027, so traffic on this approach is unlikely to ease soon. We book a time window rather than an exact time and tell you if we are running behind.

Finding the house

In a small, developing locality, lanes change quickly and map apps lag behind. Tell us the nearest landmark that a driver would recognise, the house name or number, the floor and any gate. A phone pin is a great help. A call from the physiotherapist when they are close saves both of you time.

Houses and apartments: what changes in the plan

  • Independent houses. Look at the staircase, the bathroom step, the bed height and any floor-level routines. A patient who cannot yet manage stairs may do better living on the ground floor for a while.
  • Apartment buildings. Check whether there is a lift and how wide the door is. If there is not a lift, the stairs become part of the assessment.
  • Both. A clear path of about a metre from bed to door, a firm chair with arms and a light between bedroom and bathroom reduce falls.

Who we usually see

People with lower-back pain from lifting, standing or riding on the highway often call us, as do people with knee pain who climb stairs every day. Families also book after hospital discharge when a relative has had a joint replacement, a fracture repair or a stroke. Our pages on back pain physiotherapy in Manjri, post-surgery rehabilitation in Manjri and stroke rehabilitation in Manjri explain what these visits involve, and the post-surgery rehabilitation guide gives the general background.

One household, several needs

In a family house there may be a grandparent with stiff knees, a parent with a bad back and a teenager with a sports injury. If more than one of them would like to be seen, tell us when you book. We can sometimes arrange this in a single visit, and the family can learn the exercises together, which makes them more likely to be done.

What happens at the first visit

The physiotherapist asks about the problem, other illnesses, medicines and scans, then examines movement, strength and balance and tests the tasks that cause trouble. Warning signs that need a doctor are checked first. Treatment begins in the same visit and you receive a short routine for the days in between. No fixed number of sessions or recovery date is promised.

Symptoms that need a doctor first

Sudden weakness down one side, a drooping face, slurred speech, chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness between the legs, or a fall followed by severe pain needs urgent medical help. Ring for an ambulance or go to an emergency department.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Manjri Khurd: questions families ask

Manjri Khurd is small and hard to find. Will the physiotherapist reach my house?
Yes. Give a landmark a driver can find, then the house name, floor and any gate, and a map pin if you can. We will call if the last lane is unclear.
Does the monsoon affect visits near the river?
It can. After heavy rain the Mula-Mutha has flooded low-lying links nearby, so we may suggest a different time or a different route, and we will tell you if a visit has to move.
We live in an independent house with stairs. Can my father be treated there?
Yes. The physiotherapist comes to the house, checks the stairs and bathroom, and treats him in his own room. Stair practice starts only when it is safe.
Can more than one family member be seen in one visit?
Sometimes. Mention it when you book so we can set aside enough time.
