Home Physiotherapy in Kesnand Phata, Wagholi, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits near Kesnand Phata, Wagholi, Pune, for older villagers and newer flat residents, booked in advance for pain and rehabilitation.

Kesnand Phata sits at the far eastern end of Wagholi, where the road to Kesnand village leaves Nagar Road. It is a point on the map more than a neighbourhood: for many people it is where a bus ends, where a junction is crowded in the morning, and where a village on one side meets new apartment blocks on the other. If you are searching for physiotherapy near Kesnand Phata, our physiotherapists can come to the house.

Distance is the thing to understand first. This is a long journey from our South Pune base, and so visits here are booked in advance. We do not offer same-hour arrival. What we can offer is a planned window, a physiotherapist who has read your history, and a programme that continues at home between visits.

Getting here, and why we plan ahead

The physiotherapist travels across the city to Nagar Road, past Kharadi, and on through Wagholi. A report from October 2026 described long queues in both directions between Viman Nagar Chowk and Wagholi, with the road narrowed by metro construction. The extra distance beyond Wagholi's centre adds to the journey, so a time window is agreed at booking and the family is told if there is a delay.

The junction itself is changing. In April 2026 the civic body's standing committee approved the Kesnand Phata to Dube Nagar Phata road as a model road, with widening, footpaths, drainage and lighting. The timetable has not been stated, so building work could affect access at some point. Give a landmark and we will find the safest approach.

Buses, and what they mean for patients

PMPML route 198 was introduced in 2023 to run from Mundhwa Chowk to Kesnand Phata, via Malwadi Manjri, Avhalwadi, Satav Park and Wagholi Bazar. For households without a car, this is one of the ways to reach hospitals and clinics in the city, and it is a long ride. A patient recovering from an operation or a stroke, or an older person with sore knees, may find a trip on crowded buses more tiring than the treatment itself. That is the main reason families here choose to have the physiotherapist visit.

Village houses and apartments

Two kinds of home are common near the Phata, and each needs a different plan.

  • Older village-style houses. These may have a raised threshold, a few steps at the entrance, a floor-level toilet and sleeping on a mat. The physiotherapist checks how safely the patient can manage each and teaches a way to get up from the floor.
  • Newer apartments. A lift and a corridor give more room for walking practice, but a power cut can leave an older person stuck on an upper floor.

In both, the plan stays simple: exercises that use what is in the home, and a family member or helper who learns how to assist.

What we treat around Kesnand Phata

Common reasons for a call are knee pain in older residents, back pain in people who work on their feet or commute, and rehabilitation after a fracture or surgery. The detailed pages are knee pain physiotherapy in Wagholi, back pain physiotherapy in Wagholi and elderly physiotherapy in Wagholi. For general background, read about knee pain and arthritis physiotherapy.

Using the day well when the visit is far

A long journey makes each session count, so a little preparation goes a long way. Write down the questions you want answered, note which movements hurt and when, and keep a record of any falls or new symptoms since the last visit. If a relative is at work, ask them to join the first session by phone. Because there is a longer gap between visits than for homes near the city centre, the physiotherapist will leave a slightly fuller home plan, with clear instructions on how to increase the exercises and which signs mean you should stop and call.

What to have ready

  • the house or society name, a landmark and the floor;
  • the number of steps at the entrance, if any;
  • reports, discharge summaries and a list of medicines;
  • a firm bed or a clear patch of floor, and a sturdy chair.

The first visit includes questions, an examination and the start of treatment. Pricing is on the pricing page.

Warning signs

For sudden weakness on one side, difficulty speaking, chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of bladder or bowel control, a fall with a head injury or a hot swollen calf after surgery, go to an emergency department without waiting. From this end of Wagholi, the hospital journey is long, so set off early.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Kesnand Phata: questions families ask

Is Kesnand Phata too far for a home physiotherapy visit?
It is one of our longer journeys, so visits are planned in advance, not at short notice. Ask for the earliest window when you book and tell us the days that suit you.
Do you also visit the older village-style houses, not only new flats?
Yes. Older houses can have raised thresholds, steep steps and floor-level toilets, which the physiotherapist assesses at the first visit. Tell us the number of steps at the entrance when you book.
Can my parent have physiotherapy without travelling to the city?
Yes, that is the purpose of home visits. The physiotherapist examines, treats and teaches exercises at home, so the long bus or car ride is not needed for each session.
What should I tell you about the address?
Give the house or society name, the nearest landmark such as the Phata, the floor and a number to call on arrival. Mention if the lane is too narrow for a vehicle.
