Home Physiotherapy in Bakori Phata, Wagholi, Pune

Physiotherapist home visits near Bakori Phata and Bakori Road, Wagholi, Pune, for society residents, booked in advance for pain and rehabilitation.

Bakori Phata is the turning on Nagar Road where Bakori Road heads off towards Bakori village, and the societies beyond it make up a large part of residential Wagholi. If you want physiotherapy near Bakori Phata, Proper Care Physiotherapy can send a physiotherapist to your flat, with the visit planned ahead because of the distance from our South Pune base.

This page is about the practical side of a home visit here: the road, the societies, the lift and the compound. We have kept to details we could check, and said plainly where information is dated.

The Bakori Road question

In March 2023 the Wagholi Housing Societies Association went to the Bombay High Court over Bakori Road. Residents described it as unfinished for years, partly built, with large potholes and a width that allowed traffic one way at a time. The same report said the area had more than 75 housing societies, about 35,000 residents and over 8,000 flats. We cannot say how the road looks today, so we treat it as a possible slow stretch and ask patients to tell us what they find.

That matters for visits and for patients. A rough side road makes a visit slower. For someone with a painful back, a recent operation or a fragile hip, a bumpy ride to a hospital follow-up is not a trivial matter, and it is one more reason families here choose care at home.

Nagar Road, metro works and timing

The physiotherapist reaches Bakori Phata by crossing the city to Nagar Road and travelling through Kharadi to Wagholi. An October 2026 report described long queues in both directions between Viman Nagar Chowk and Wagholi, with metro barricades narrowing the road. The journey is long on a good day, so we plan visits in advance, agree a time window and call if the physiotherapist is delayed. In the rains, allow more time still.

Living in a large society

With so many societies, the homes here share certain features, and these shape what we do.

  • Gates and logs. Visitors may have to be registered. Put the tower, flat and the name of the person who will approve entry in your booking.
  • Lifts. They make upper floors manageable, but the patient's route from the flat door to the lift and the gap at the lift threshold are worth checking after a stroke or surgery.
  • Compounds. Paved paths and podiums are the usual place for walking practice, once the patient has done the corridor.
  • Family routines. In many homes the adults are out at work, so the plan has to work with a helper.

What we help with here

Our visits near Bakori Phata cover the same range as the rest of Wagholi. Back pain in people who commute or work at a laptop is described in back pain physiotherapy in Wagholi. Rehabilitation after a stroke, with a caregiver trained to help, is covered in stroke rehabilitation in Wagholi. For recovery after an operation, see post-surgery rehabilitation in Wagholi. The wider guides to stroke rehabilitation and post-surgery rehabilitation give the clinical background.

When the journey is the obstacle

Several households around Bakori Phata have told the story in the same way: it is not the exercise that exhausts the patient, it is getting to the place where the exercise is taught. A person with a swollen knee, a fresh stitched wound or one weak side after a stroke must be helped into a car, driven along a rough road, and helped out again. At home, none of that is needed. The physiotherapist comes with the plan, the patient stays in the bed, chair and corridor where they will actually be moving, and the family sees exactly how to help.

Preparing for the first visit

Have the discharge summary, scan reports and medicine list ready, with a firm bed or clear floor space and a sturdy chair. The physiotherapist asks how the problem began and what a normal day involves, examines movement, strength and balance, begins treatment when it is safe and leaves a short plan. See the pricing page for charges.

When to go to hospital instead

Go to an emergency department for sudden weakness or drooping on one side, trouble speaking, chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a hot swollen calf after surgery. Start the journey early, since Nagar Road and Bakori Road can both be slow.

Common Questions

Home physiotherapy in Bakori Phata: questions families ask

Do you visit societies along Bakori Road?
Yes. Give the society name, tower and floor, and say that you are on Bakori Road. The road has been reported as rough, so a call on the day helps the physiotherapist find the right gate.
Why must I book ahead?
Bakori Phata is a long journey from our South Pune base along a congested road. Visits are planned in advance. Ask for the earliest window and say which days suit you.
Can the physiotherapist come while I am at work?
If a family member or helper is at home, yes. For the first visit we prefer that someone who will assist the patient is present or on the phone. After that, a routine can be agreed with the patient.
Does rain change the visit?
It can slow things down, especially on side roads. We agree a window, not an exact time, and call if there is a delay. If conditions are unsafe, we will talk to you about rescheduling.
