NIBM Road, Pune
Proper Care Physiotherapy treats knee pain at home across NIBM Road and its neighbourhoods. Society stairs, evening walks, weekend sport and the sloping ground towards Mohammadwadi all load the knee. A physiotherapist examines the joint, tests the hips and thighs that support it, treats in the same visit and builds a plan you can follow.
Knee pain in the NIBM Road area often announces itself on the stairs. Residents climb a society stairwell when the lift is busy, walk a loop of the internal road in the evening, restart badminton on weekends, or coax an older joint through a trip to the mall. Each of those asks the knee to take several times body weight with every step, and a joint that is stiff, weak or worn lets the owner know.
For a general picture of causes and treatment, see our guide to knee pain physiotherapy. Here we describe how knee pain shows up in NIBM, Salunke Vihar, Mohammadwadi and Lullanagar, and how a home visit deals with it.
The first session starts with questions on when the pain began, where it sits, whether the knee swells, clicks, locks or gives way, and what you have already tried. Then comes an examination: knee movement, thigh and hip strength, balance, and the way you walk and rise from a chair. Many knees hurt because the hips and thighs are weak, so we test above and below the joint. If you have had imaging, bring it.
Treatment may include manual techniques, strengthening in positions that suit your pain, balance practice and advice on pacing walks and stairs. If a back problem is also limiting you, back pain physiotherapy on NIBM Road covers that side, and for a parent whose knees are only part of a wider loss of strength, see elderly physiotherapy on NIBM Road.
Our blog explains why knee pain flares when climbing stairs if you want more detail on that pattern.
Get medical help promptly if the knee is hot, red and swollen with fever, cannot take weight after a fall or twist, looks deformed, or locks so that it will not straighten. A calf that is swollen and tender, especially after a long journey or surgery, also needs urgent review.
To arrange a visit, use the booking page and mention the society, floor, whether there is a lift, and what the knee struggles with. You can read more about our coverage on the NIBM Road page.

I was struggling with knee pain while climbing stairs and walking for longer distances. The physiotherapy sessions at home were very convenient, and the exercises were easy to follow. I have noticed a big improvement in my movement and confidence.
