Knee pain in Kondhwa is shaped by slopes, long staircases and floor-level routines. Proper Care Physiotherapy visits you at home, examines the knee along with the hip and ankle, watches how you manage your own stairs and seat heights, and sets a graded programme that builds strength before it asks for the slope outside.
A knee that complains on the stairs at home is a problem a clinic visit may never see. In Kondhwa the stairs are often just the start: the lane outside may be a slope, the building may have no lift, and the toilet or the prayer mat may be at floor level. Knee pain here is as much about gradients and furniture as about the joint itself.
Our guide to knee pain physiotherapy explains the common causes, from arthritis to old injuries. Below is how we approach knee pain physiotherapy in Kondhwa in a patient's own home.
Residents of the ward that includes Kondhwa Budruk and Yewalewadi describe the ground as hilly. Walking down a slope loads the knee more than walking on the flat, because the thigh muscle has to control every step, and walking up demands strength from the muscles around the hip and knee. People with sore knees often cope by avoiding the slope, and then slowly lose the strength they need for it.
We measure how far you can walk on level ground first. The plan then builds up in stages: corridor, stairwell, society compound, and finally a gentle gradient with a stick or a family member close by. If you have a knee replacement, we follow the surgeon's limits and bring the same graded approach.
The first visit starts with the history: whether the knee swells, locks, gives way or just aches, any past injury, and any scans or X-ray reports you have. The physiotherapist then looks at the knee itself, as well as the hip and ankle, and watches you walk, stand from a chair, and go up a step. Strength, range of motion and balance are tested.
Treatment usually combines strengthening for the thigh and hip, gentle mobilisation for stiffness, advice on pacing, and where useful a pain-relief method to allow exercise. For older patients we also look at balance and fall risk, since a weak knee can cause one; see our page on elderly physiotherapy in Kondhwa. If you are recovering from joint replacement, post-surgery rehabilitation in Kondhwa explains how the early weeks are planned.
Get medical review promptly if the knee becomes hot, red and very swollen, especially with a fever, or if you cannot bear weight after a fall or twist. A calf that is suddenly swollen, tender and warm, or sudden breathlessness after an operation, needs emergency care. Physiotherapy comes after those have been excluded.
When you are ready, book through the booking page, and tell us if the lane is steep or the building has no lift.

I was struggling with knee pain while climbing stairs and walking for longer distances. The physiotherapy sessions at home were very convenient, and the exercises were easy to follow. I have noticed a big improvement in my movement and confidence.
