Physiotherapist home visits in Chandan Nagar, Pune, for long-settled families in independent homes and builder floors: knee, back and post-surgery care.
If you are searching for a physiotherapist in Chandan Nagar, the likely reason is a person in the family who is finding it hard to get out: a parent with a stiff knee after a long day on their feet, a grandparent recovering from a fracture, or yourself with a back that will not settle. Proper Care Physiotherapy sends a physiotherapist to your house or builder floor, so the assessment and treatment happen where the difficulty is.
Chandan Nagar belongs to our Kharadi service area, but it has a character of its own. This page explains what is different about visiting homes here and how to prepare for one.
Property sources describe Chandan Nagar as an established residential neighbourhood of eastern Pune, developed mainly in the 1980s and 1990s, with a mix of independent homes, builder floors and mid-rise apartment blocks. Wikipedia places it to the west of Kharadi, alongside Wadgaon Sheri and Viman Nagar. Next to the glass towers of Kharadi, it is a quieter and more settled part of the city, and a good many households have lived in the same house for decades.
That matters for physiotherapy. People who have stayed in one home for thirty years are now in their sixties, seventies and eighties. The house that suited them when they were forty has stairs, a bathroom with a raised step and a bed that may be too low. They know the place so well that they no longer notice the hazards.
Builder floors and some older blocks are often reached by a staircase rather than a lift, and independent houses may have an internal stair to a first floor. For a person with a painful knee or a weak leg, that staircase decides whether they can leave home. During the first visit the physiotherapist watches how the patient climbs, notes where the rail sits and whether there is a landing to rest on, and decides if practice on the stairs is safe or should wait. Our knee pain physiotherapy in Kharadi page explains the approach in more detail.
Our physiotherapists come from the clinic base on Katraj–Kondhwa Road and reach Chandan Nagar by way of Nagar Road. The final part of the trip is the slow one: on 5 October 2026 a local news report said metro works between Viman Nagar and Wagholi were adding to congestion, with road width reduced near Kharadi Bypass. We therefore agree a time window when you book, and tell you if the physiotherapist is running late. In lanes lined with parked cars, tell us the nearest landmark and a place where a two-wheeler can be left.
For general information, our knee pain physiotherapy and back pain physiotherapy guides are a good starting point.
Some families here have grown-up children who live in another part of the city, another city or another country, while the parents stay in the family home. If you are that child, say so when you book. We can arrange a time when a neighbour or relative is present, and, with your parent's agreement, give a short update after each session. It helps to put the next appointment in a shared calendar, so that it does not rely on one person remembering.
Our elderly physiotherapy in Kharadi page describes the balance and strength work in more detail, and the elderly physiotherapy guide gives the background.
Before the visit, look at the places where a fall is likely. Check the bathroom floor, the step at the door, any loose rugs, and the stairs at night. Keep a sturdy chair with arms ready and clear a path of about a metre from bed to door. The physiotherapist will go through these during the session and may suggest a grab rail, a non-slip mat or a raised seat.
You are asked about the problem, other illnesses and medicines, and what you want to do again. The physiotherapist examines strength, movement and balance, tries out the tasks that matter at home, checks for signs that need a doctor, and starts treatment. You leave with a short exercise plan. How many sessions you need, and how fast you improve, are not things we can promise in advance.
Call an ambulance or go to an emergency department for sudden weakness on one side, slurred speech, a drooping face, chest pain, breathlessness, a fall with severe pain or inability to stand, or loss of bladder or bowel control. Fever with a hot, swollen joint should also be assessed promptly.
We also visit Thite Nagar in Kharadi, as well as Viman Nagar. To arrange a visit, go to the booking page and tell us the lane, nearest landmark, floor and whether there is a lift.
